My main ship (in life) is Borra, because it's flawwwlesss and Johnlock because it is also flawless. I also ship in LoK Bohno (Tahno x Bolin), Broh (Iroh x Bolin), Lieumon (Lieutenant x Amon), and Korrasami (Korra x Asami). This used to be a very Avatar/LoK blog, but with that show in hiatus for a bit, I'm opening up new fandoms as well. Still, they'll be lots of LoK/Avatar posts, because well, that show is flawless.

How hard did I laugh while I watched my favorite character from the show cry because he caught the one person in the world that he trusted more than anyone else kissing the girl of his dreams? I didn’t laugh at all. It wasn’t funny and when I see people saying they laughed it really bothers me.
Yeah, it was overly dramatic, yeah it was portrayed horribly (in my opinion because I’ve walked in on that happening before and it isn’t at all fun, trust me), but can we remember how sad that scene was? How hurt Bolin was about that?
The one girl that he thought was going to be different - she was just like all of the rest of them. She didn’t care about him, it was just about getting to his brother.
Oh and the fact that Bryke said that entire date was supposed to be for comedic purposes? Oh that made it all the worse.
Because that made it seem like it was okay to crush someone’s feelings, in a show, just for the sake of comic relief.
THEN LET ME TELL YOU WHAT REALLY GOT ME UPSET ABOUT IT.
The fact that it was never mentioned again. Korra didn’t say what she did was wrong, Mako didn’t apologize for those .05 seconds that he kissed, and we never see anything about it again in the series.
Honestly, I even hated the fact that Bolin wasn’t upset about it. Bo and I share a lot of the same qualities and I know how hard it can be to angry at people and instantly forgive them despite what they did wrong.
BUT THE FACT THAT INSTEAD OF HAVING ANYONE DEAL WITH THE PROBLEM THEY DECIDED TO LET BOLIN EAT NOODLES? Not going to fly.
So, too answer your question if I haven’t already anon, I didn’t laugh. It hurt to see it happen and I didn’t see an inch of comedic genius any where near it.
The fact that I’m even getting this question aggravates me.
