Bolin’s Voice Actor on the Finale

IGN: I know you can’t say too much, but you’ve got the hour-long season finale coming up this weekend, can you give us a general sense of what’s in store for Bolin going into Season 2?

Byrne: What can I say? Okay, another copout, but the finale is going to be an epically fun episode. Obviously, a lot of stuff is going to be revealed, like whose character is who, what’s the history of what,is someone going to live or die or are they not going to make it.

is someone going to live or die or are they not going to make it.

Lin Beifong - Turning the Tides

I believe Lin can still come back and be a bamf, in season 2 maybe, but I just wanted to get this out of my system…

GENUINELY CRYING MY EYES OUT

evilocked:

I hope this is what happens when they meet her again. Lin Beifong is my hero. ;_;

I didn’t have internet when this episode aired, so let me just put all my Lin feels here.

Lin is an amazing character. Not only is she an absolute BAMF, but her character development is one of (if not) the best in LoK. When we first meet her, Lin is just some hardass cop. But through the series we see her develop from that, from holding a grudge against Tenzin, to giving up one of her defining characteristics as a human being to keep Tenzin and his family safe. And it happened so organically that you believe it every step of the way.

Lin Beifong is a hero.

Korra Returns - Legend of Korra Fanfiction

Format: TV Show Script;  756 words (5 script pages)

Characters/Ships: Korra, Tenzin, Lin, Bolin, Mako, and Asami; slight Borra, Makorra, and Masami

Summary: An alternate ending scene to Out of the Past that replaces the Makorra moment with a more balanced Krew scene. Lin quips caringly, Tenzin acts fatherly, Bolin fails at pretending he’s not worried, etc.

Beta:  deoxysugar

Notes: I was sort of annoyed in episode 9 that Mako seemed like the only one who was worried about Korra. It even seemed a bit OOC for Bolin and Tenzin, who have shown how much they care about Korra. Fic inspired by this essayby boxlunch.

Lin: What? No. That’s ridiculous. Just where did you hear that rumor? -suspicious pause- … Hm. If you’ll excuse me; I must go have a word with a certain airbender.

Headcanon accepted.

This is amazing.

I ship it.

This was such a powerful moment. Not shipping wise, just seeing how genuinely sorry Lin is. She cares about her men and their safety so much. I wish they had spent more time on this. ;__;

Chief Lin ‘The BAMF’ Beifong Opening Things:

“For when ‘Open the fucking door’ doesn’t quite do it…”

It’s harder to tell who’s more badass, Lin or Amon…

Can we just talk about this scene for a minute? This is Lin Bei Fong, badass chief of police and daughter of the greatest earthbender, in an incredibly vulnerable moment. She’s just lost her metalbending force, she was defeated in battle (and only made it out safely because of Asami) and her career is pretty much going down the toilet. And here she is, admitting her failures and baring her soul to her ex-lover who left her for another woman. I mean, even with all their history and likely bitter break up, she still trusts him so much because there’s no one else in the world who knows her better than Tenzin. They grew up together, they both have the weight of their parents’ legacies on their shoulders and had an important relationship, even if it’s long over.
And notice Tenzin’s body language - Lin is lying down injured. Any normal people would kneel to be on level with them but Tenzin just stands there, keeping this huge distance. I think he feels like he has to maintain this space between them cause he knows how much he’s hurt her in the past and maybe he doesn’t feel like he has the right to come closer anymore. He knows what the police force means to her. She said earlier in the episode that keeping Republic City safe is the only thing she cares about, and maybe that’s the reason why their relationship failed? Or maybe it was because Tenzin left her that she’s now dedicated her whole life to being chief. Either way, at one point in their lives, she obviously cared about Tenzin a lot and I think she still does.

LIN FUCKING BEI FONG
